Today we're launching the Oxygen Event Assistant, the first feature in Oxygen v4's shift from monitoring to understanding.
Oxygen supports our Cloud Value Architects and Engineers in managing your cloud security, cost, and compliance issues while providing visibility into your environment. The Event Assistant is designed to derive insight and understanding from Oxygen's data and monitoring.
The Event Assistant lives right in your Event drawer. Ask it questions about infrastructure events and get answers that help you understand what's actually happening.
Choose between Private and Global mode depending on your needs:
Private mode connects to your asset data, asset history, and policy information to give you context specific to your infrastructure. Explanations, CLI commands, and code snippets will be pre-populated with your resource details.
Global mode gives you fast, knowledgeable responses about cloud infrastructure patterns, best practices, and general troubleshooting without passing your environment data to the model.
1. Log into Oxygen.
2. Open an event in your Event dashboard.
3. Find the Assistant (it's right at the top).
4. Pick Private or Global mode.
5. Ask it something.

All Oxygen AI features are built on top of Oxygen Spectra, our internal AI platform that manages secure LLM orchestration, proxying, embedding, and retrieval for present and future AI workloads.
The Event Assistant is in beta, but we're shipping now because it's already useful and your feedback will make it even better!
The Event Assistant is the first piece of a larger shift in how we're building Oxygen v4 to help you understand your infrastructure. RAG-enriched responses with citations and other contextual assistants are in the works, but AI is only part of this story. The next chapter is focused on surfacing and managing your cloud resources directly from Oxygen in a new Assets dashboard.
